HOW TO MAKE A BOOKING

1.     Select the day and the game you wish to nominate by clicking on “Book”

You will be able to see how many spots are available.

If there are no spots available to be booked, the game will show “No spots left”

2.     Enter your details

o   First and last name

o   Phone

o   Email Address

3.     If you do not have a full team please nominate in the “Spares” sheet, otherwise, enter information about your team. For example, for a pairs game, enter the name of your Lead and Skip. For other combinations of games, you will be prompted to enter the name of your Second and Third.

If you enter ‘TBA’, this will indicate to the games room that you have a full team and that you are not a single entry and that you will present on game day with a full team.

4.     Once you have provided names for your team, you will be prompted to enter your member number if you are a member of Club Maroochy or your nominated/registered club if you are a visitor.

5.     Once the form is complete, click on “Book Class”

6.     An instant confirmation of your booking will be displayed on your screen. A confirmation email will be sent to your email address.

PLEASE NOTE: A booking can only be cancelled by the player who made the booking or the game organiser. As a rule, the player who made the booking owns the booking.

7.   A confirmation email will be sent to email address on the nomination.

8.   There are four buttons at the end of each email confirmation.

1.     Cancel Booking – Use this button to cancel your booking if required – Up to 3 hours before the start of play

2.     Add to iCal/Outlook Calendar – Use this button to add the booking as a reminder to your email calendar

3.     Add to Google Calendar – Use this button to add the booking as a reminder to your Google Calendar

4.     Use the Check Bowls Sheets button to check the bowls sheet at anytime.

ADD CLUB MAROOCHY TO THE ACUITY SCHEDULING CLIENT APP

 Open the installed Acuity Scheduling Client app on your device

  1. Click on the “+” sign next “Businesses”
  2. Enter the following “BUSINESS SCHEDULING URL”
    as.me
    or
    scan the following QR Code
  3. Once added, Club Maroochy will appear under “Businesses”

IPHONE SHORTCUT FOR ACUITY SCHEDULING

If you are unable to install the Acuity Scheduling app due to version incompatibility of the application, no QR code reader or; would prefer to create a shortcut on your device instead, please follow these instructions.

 iPhone or iPad

 Open Safari

  1. Go to ClubMaroochyas.me
  2. Tap the Share icon (the square with an arrow pointing out of it) at the bottom of the screen

Scroll down to the list of actions and tap Add to Home Screen. (If you don’t see the action, scroll to the bottom and tap Edit Actions, then tap Add next to the Add to Home Screen action. After that, you’ll be able to select it from the Share Sheet.)

 Type a name for your site This will be the title that appears beneath its icon on your Home screen. Tap Add in the top-right corner of the screen.

  1. Your new “web app” will appear in the next available space on your device’s “Home” screen. To move the app to a different location, tap anywhere on a blank part of the screen until the icon changes (shakes) then touch and hold the icon and move it to your preferred screen or location

Open Google Chrome Go to ClubMaroochyBookBowls.as.me

  1. Open the drop down menu by tapping the screen’s three-dot icon at the top right-hand
  2. Select Add to Home screen
  1. Next, you can edit the name of the shortcut/
    Change the name and tap “Add” to save the shortcut/icon to the home screen.

Your new “web app” will appear in the next available space on your device’s Home screen. To move it like you would any other app, tap and hold its icon, then drag it to your desired location.

Online Booking System Frequently Asked Questions

 How do I make a booking?

You can access the booking app through one of the following:

  1. You can use either your computer at home or your smartphone/tablet to book on the website https://clubmaroochybookbowls.as.me.
  2. You can download the Acuity Scheduling Client App on your smart phone to make a booking.
  3. Use the computer at the club to make a booking.
  4. You could ask your bowling partner to make the booking.
  5. See one of the Games Room members to assist you

 What if I don’t have a computer or tablet at home or a smartphone?

You can ask your bowls partner to make the booking for you, or there is a tablet at the club that you can use to make a booking or see another member to make the booking for you.

 

What information do I need to provide to make a booking?

You will need to provide your name, email address, phone number so the Games Room is able to contact you in the event of any changes.

You will also need to provide the names of your team members, your membership number or your nominated Club if you are a visitor to Club Maroochy.

 When do games open so I can make a booking for my next game?

Each game will open at the time of the game, 7 days in advance.

For example;

  • Monday Mufty Pairs will open for bookings at 2pm on Mondays for games the following week
  • Wednesday 1pm Men’s Pairs will open for bookings at 1pm on Wednesdays for games the following week.

 

When do games bookings close?

All games will close 3 hours before the game (on the day of the game).

  • Monday Mufty Pairs are scheduled to start at 2pm, this game will close at 11am.
  • Wednesday 1pm Men’s Pairs are scheduled to start at 1pm, this game will close at 10am


Games will be closed for new bookings and cancellations on the scheduled day. If you would like to add your name or cancel your booking after the closing time, please contact the games room on (07) 5443 1307

 

Where are the bowls sheets?

The bowls sheets will be published on the Club Maroochy Web Site.

Booking sheets – Club_Maroochy

My name does not appear on the online bowls sheet immediately. Does this mean my booking is not confirmed?

When you make a booking, you will receive instant confirmation of your booking by email, so you are guaranteed a spot in your nominated game. Please note: The person making the booking receives the email.

 

There can be up to a 5-minute delay for the bowls sheets to update, so please check back if your name does not appear immediately.

 I made a booking but did not get a confirmation email?

Please first check that the email did not go to your spam or junk folder.

 

It is possible that your email address might have been entered incorrectly. Just check the online bowls sheets to check your nomination. You can also contact the Games Office if you are unsure.

 I don’t have a partner, will I be able to make a booking?

Yes.

If you are a single entry, try checking the bowls sheet for “Spares” to see if there is someone you can play with, alternatively, you can nominate yourself into the “Spares Sheet” for the game you wish to play.

Other members looking for a bowls partner can check the spares sheet and contact you to see if you want a game.

 

The Games Room will make every effort to give people on the Spares Sheet a game if spots are available.

 

We ask members not to make a booking for a team game if you do not have a full team.

 I am nominating for a team event, (eg, Pairs or Triples) do all players need to make a booking?

No, only one team member is required to make the booking for the whole team.

 

Can I cancel or change my booking?

Yes, you can cancel your booking the “Cancel My Booking” link in the confirmation you received when you created the booking.

To change your booking, simply cancel your previous booking and add a new booking with the required changes. If all spots are filled, please contact the games room for assistance (07) 5443 1307

Can I put my name down on someone else’s booking?

No. You will need to contact the person who made the booking.

 

Is there a QR Code so I can quickly link the Acuity App?

Yes. There are 2 QR Codes available to download the Acuity Scheduling Client app.

  1. For Apple iPhone users
  2. For Android users e.g. Samsung Galaxy etc, Google phone, Oppo etc.

 When do I pay for my game?

We are not taking payment online. Please pay for your game at the Games Office when you arrive at the club to play your game.

 

Help!!! Where do I go if I need help?

Just see someone in the Games Room for assistance. If they can’t help, they will point you in the right direction.
