Planning is underway for a proposed bowling trip to the South Island, New Zealand, taking place in January 2020.
We are open to feedback or suggestions you would like implemented.
Flights and accommodation are getting tight in Queenstown in January already, so we are looking at locking in something soon. (The Eights competition begins on the Sunshine Coast 2nd February, so we must be back by then). We do have quotes for: 15th January – Con-X-Ion bus Maroochydore to Brisbane Domestic airport – Flights Brisbane-Sydney-Queenstown. 2 x 12 seater vans with luggage trailers Pick up Queenstown, drop off Christchurch. 29th January – Fly Christchurch-Brisbane – Con-X-Ion bus Brisbane International airport to Maroochydore. Open for discussion, but looking at 2-3 days in Queenstown; perhaps bowling Queenstown and Arrowtown. Non bowlers free to sightsee on activities like the ‘Earnslaw’ steamship up Lake Wakatipu and/or a gondola ride above Queenstown to see stunning lake & mountain views and dine at the Chalet restaurant. On our trip north we could include bowls at Alexandra, Timaru and Ashburton. On reaching Christchurch, maybe games at Redcliffe, Sumner, Canterbury and a ferry trip over to the Akaroa Club. This of course is subject to time frames on how long you wish to be away. You are all invited.
You will never know if you don’t go.
For those that are interested, we would love to see you at the Clubhouse this Tuesday at 5pm, to get the ball rolling. Cheers 😀 PS Approx 12th – 26th could be more suitable now that we have the Gr8’s starting date. Desley and Heather
